Get Prepared

Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within seven days of submitting your Guild application.

If you have received your approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps in completing your Northwestern University Online Executive Education enrollment process. In order to ensure your program is covered by your Guild Education Benefits, do not go directly to 2U Executive Education to register. Follow the steps below:

1 — Confirm your spot

Once your Guild application is approved, you'll need to confirm your spot in Northwestern University Online Executive Education’s program for the next start date.

Log in to your Guild account and visit your Applications page to confirm your spot, then Northwestern University Online Executive Education will reach out to you with next steps.

Be sure to confirm your spot by the 29th day of the month before your start date, or February 27, if the start date is in March, or you will have to start in a later term.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there aren't extra requirements to complete at Northwestern University Online Executive Education.

2 — Create your Northwestern University Online Executive Education Online Campus Student Account

Prior to your course start date, you’ll receive an email from GetSmarter (a 2U, Inc., brand) with instructions on creating your Online Campus account. Please check your email spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox. Once logged in, you’ll be directed to your profile page. Follow the prompts to complete your profile, and you’ll be all set to get started on your journey.

3 — Complete your Orientation Module

Prior to starting your first course module, you will need to complete the Online Orientation Module. This is a mandatory step and important to understand how to navigate and find success in the Online Campus.

4 — Complete your Second Course Module within Three Weeks

In order to remain in the program, you must complete the second course module by the deadline provided in your Program Handbook, which is set three weeks from your course start date. If you do not complete Module Two, you may be considered an inactive student and dropped from the program automatically.

5 — Chat with your Guild Growth Coach

Once you’ve started your program, you’ll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations and set goals for completing your program.

6 — Complete your courses to earn your Certificate

Your Guild Growth Coach will be there to support you with any questions throughout your certificate program and help you explore options post-completion. They’ll also work with you to explore new programs if you’re interested.
