Get Prepared

Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals with Chegg Skills! Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within seven days of submitting your Guild application.

Once you receive your approval email from Guild, here’s how you can get started with Chegg Skills:

  1. Confirm your spot

  2. Complete your Enrollment Agreement

  3. Complete your Chegg Skills Orientation

  4. Work towards your Chegg Skills professional certificate with dedicated support

1 — Confirm your spot

Once your Guild application is approved, you'll need to confirm your spot in Chegg Skills program for the next start date. Guild will reach out via email within the next seven days, asking you to "accept your spot" to confirm your enrollment. Log in to your Guild account and visit your Applications page to confirm your spot, then Chegg Skills will reach out to you with next steps. Be sure to confirm your spot by the 29th day of the month before your start date, or February 27, if the start date is in March, or you will have to start in a later term. For example, if your enrollment month is January, you must confirm your enrollment by December 29th.

If you don't confirm your spot by the 29th day, your start date will automatically update to the next start date available (up to 90 days out). You should be able to view your new start date and confirm your spot for the new start date within your Guild portal. If you don't confirm your spot for the updated start date, you will need to re-apply.

2 — Complete your Enrollment Agreement with Chegg Skills

The first communication you can expect from Chegg Skills will be sent at the beginning of your start month. For example, if you applied for the March start date, you should see that email come to you within the first 1-2 business days of March.

In that first email, Chegg Skills will send you an Enrollment Agreement to complete at the beginning of your start month—typically within the first 1-2 business days of the month. You’ll have to sign this agreement to get started with your program, so make sure you complete it early! If you have questions, or don’t receive your Enrollment Agreement, you can email Chegg Skills at guild-admissions@chegg.com.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there aren't extra requirements to complete at Chegg Skills.

3 — Complete your Chegg Skills Orientation

Create your Chegg Skills account and start exploring the online dashboard. You’ll have access to a bunch of great intro lessons to start learning straight away. You'll complete a brief survey before your full course is unlocked on your program start date. Please note:

  • If you do not complete the orientation model, you will be dropped from the program.

  • There is a 14 day add/drop window for all Chegg Skills programs. You must notify Chegg Skills within 14 days of your program start date if you wish to drop from your program. After 14 days, your tuition assistance dollars or general program costs are applied and refunds aren't possible.

4 — Work towards your Chegg Skills professional certificate with dedicated support

Once you’ve completed your Chegg Skills Orientation, you’ll have a chance to talk with your mentor. This is your time to discuss your education and career aspirations and set goals for completing your Chegg Skills course.

At every step, your Chegg Skills and Guild support teams will be here to help you with any questions. Once you complete your Chegg Skills course, you’ll graduate with a professional certificate!
