If you have received your Guild approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps for becoming a Guild student at Indiana Institute of Technology:


Tech Requirements

Students may be required to download software to complete coursework as part of this program and should have access to a personal computer in order to download and access the required software. This software may not be downloadable or accessible on an employer-issued computer.

Indiana Institute of Technology requires a desktop or laptop computer and a reliable internet connection for Indiana Institute of Technology programs in order to complete coursework. Chromebooks, tablets or phones are not compatible devices for completion of coursework. Please make sure that you have the required tech necessary to successfully participate in the program.

1 — Make Sure You’re Eligible

Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.

2 — Submit Your Indiana Institute of Technology Application

You will receive an email from Indiana Institute of Technology with directions on how to apply for acceptance into your chosen program. Be sure to choose the same learning program on your Indiana Institute of Technology application that you selected on the Guild application, or you may have to pay for the program on your own. Please also be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when completing the Indiana Institute of Technology application. Using different information may result in delays for your start at Indiana Institute of Technology.

Make sure to read the email completely to understand what is required for your application.

1. You may be required to write a statement of interest for your Indiana Institute of Technology, so remember to get started on the application in advance of any deadlines.

2. In addition, you may be required to speak with an Admissions Counselor at Indiana Institute of Technology.

3. You may also be required to provide references. Please follow the instructions provided by Indiana Institute of Technology in your application process, and request letters of recommendation from professional or academic references who can best speak to your ability to be successful in this program.

3 — Start Your FAFSA

Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. Use the Indiana Institute of Technology code 001805. Follow the detailed instructions provided by the Federal Student Aid office. When you're finished, you may be offered awards which you can accept or decline.

Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.

4 — Send Your Transcripts to Indiana Institute of Technology

If you have taken college classes before, Indiana Institute of Technology will use your transcripts to complete your application and to possibly apply credits to your new program. You may also have to submit your most recent high school transcripts.

If you were able to submit a request for your college transcripts in your Guild Pre-Application, you should be good to go!

If you were not able to request transcripts in your Guild Pre-Application, contact any colleges you have attended and have them send your official transcripts directly to Indiana Institute of Technology at admissions@indianatech.edu.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there may be extra requirements to complete to enroll at Indiana Institute of Technology. Please review Indiana Institute of Technology's policy for international transcripts

5 - Complete Your Indiana Institute of Technology Orientation Process

6 - Get Your Books & Materials Ready

Any physical books needed will be shipped to your home address or available electronically within the course in Canvas.

7 - Continue in Classes Past Add/Drop Date

Make sure you participate in your course content past the designated add/drop date in order to stay enrolled in your program at Indiana Institute of Technology. Failure to do so may result in you being automatically dropped from the program or prevent you from continuing.

8 - Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support

Once you've passed the add/drop date, you'll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at Indiana Institute of Technology.

9 - Complete Your Coursework at Indiana Institute of Technology
