You have taken your first steps to achieving your educational goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within seven days of submitting your Guild application.
If you have received your Guild approval email, let's get started! Here are your next steps for becoming a Guild student at Kennesaw State University (KSU):
State Requirements
Only residents of Georgia are eligible to enroll in Kennesaw State University programs at this time.
Tech Requirements
Students may be required to download software to complete coursework as part of this program and should have access to a personal computer in order to download and access the required software. This software may not be downloadable or accessible on an employer-issued computer.
1 — Make Sure You're Eligible
Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Submit Your Kennesaw State University Application
Please apply to Kennesaw State University through the GA Futures application portal and select the appropriate student type based on whether or not you have completed any college coursework. If you have not completed any coursework, please select “non-traditional freshman”. If you have, select “transfer”. There is an application fee of $40 which can be reimbursed by reaching out to Guild Support.
Students interested in pursuing nursing will choose one of the following pathways. Each major incorporates the required Nursing major prerequisites…
Human Services, B.S. with Nursing Concentration
Integrated Health Science, B.S. with Nursing Concentration
Public Health, B.S. with Nursing Concentration
Please also be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when completing the KSU application. Using different information may result in delays for your start at KSU.
Within 2-3 business days of applying, you can check your status here to see what additional information may be required to complete your application.
Important Note Regarding the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Application:
1. Must be admitted to KSU through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions or be a currently enrolled student. Students admitted to KSU but are inactive for 3 consecutive semesters must reapply to the university.
2. Once admitted to KSU, must be able to log into Owl Express to access application for Nursing program.
3 — Start Your FAFSA
Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. Use the KSU code 1577. Follow the detailed instructions provided by the Federal Student Aid office. When you're finished, you may be offered awards which you can accept or decline.

Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
4 — Send Your Transcripts to Kennesaw State University
You are required to submit your most recent high school transcripts. If you have taken college classes before, Kennesaw State University may use your transcripts to complete your application and to possibly apply credits to your new program.
Contact your high school or any colleges you have attended and have them send your official transcripts directly to Kennesaw State University.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at KSU.
Official English evaluations of all foreign documents are needed. You must have your foreign transcripts evaluated by one of the following credential evaluations services found at naces.org or aice-eval.org. Please review KSU's policy for international transcripts via their International Student Next Steps site.

Note: It may take 1-2 months for transcripts to arrive at KSU, so order them as soon as possible.

5 — Complete Your Kennesaw State University Orientation Process
Make sure to take time to complete the KSU orientation process to learn more details about your program, expectations, and keys to your academic success! You can find the required next steps for admitted students here.
6 — Get Your Books & Materials Ready
Get your books and other materials ready for your courses. Check the syllabus for each course to find out what you need, and be sure to keep your receipts - you may need them for returns or reimbursements.
7 — Continue in Coursework Past the Add/Drop Date
Make sure you pass the add/drop period in order to stay enrolled in your program at KSU. Failure to do so may result in you being automatically dropped from the program or prevent you from continuing.
8 — Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support
Once you've completed your add/drop period, you'll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at KSU.
9 — Get Your Books & Materials Ready
Your Guild support network, along with your KSU support team, will be there to offer guidance and support throughout your program. Don't hesitate to reach out to Guild Support for help or KSU
