Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within seven days of submitting your Guild application.

If you have received your Guild approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps for becoming a Guild student at Kennesaw State University Community and Professional Education:

State Requirements

Only residents of Georgia are eligible to enroll in Kennesaw State University Community and Professional Education programs at this time.

Tech Requirements

Students may be required to download software to complete coursework as part of this program and should have access to a personal computer in order to download and access the required software. This software may not be downloadable or accessible on an employer-issued computer.


1 — Make Sure You're Eligible

Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.

2 — Confirm Your Spot

Once your Guild application is approved, you'll need to confirm your spot in Kennesaw State University Community and Professional Education's program for the next start date.

Log in to your Guild account and visit your Applications page to confirm your spot, then either KSU CPE or Guild will reach out to you with next steps.

Be sure to confirm your spot by the 29th day of the month before your start date, or February 27, if the start date is in March, or you will have to start in a later term.

3 — Submit Your Kennesaw State University Community and Professional Education Application/Accept Enrollment

Medical Assisting Certificate, Medical Coding Specialist Certificate, Medical Office Assistant Certificate, & Phlebotomy Technician Certificate

You'll receive a welcome email from KSU Moodle (CPE’s learning site) providing next steps within 5-7 days after your cohort month begins. If you do not receive this email, make sure to check your spam folder and then reach out to KSU using cpecs@kennesaw.edu. Upon receipt of this email, and no more than 3 days before the class start, you MUST log into Moodle and acknowledge the program policies. This will confirm your entry into the course. Students enrolling less than 3 days before the class start are automatically enrolled.

Please be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when communicating with KSU CPE. Using different information may result in delays for your start at KSU.

Medical Assisting Certificate:
1. To participate in the mandatory externship, you must complete the Student Waiver and Immunization Packet as soon as possible following enrollment, but no later than 30 days after the course start date. If you do not complete the package, you will be dropped from the class.

Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate & Intensive English Program
You will receive an email from Kennesaw State with directions on how to apply for acceptance to either the Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate or the Intensive English Program. Be sure to choose the same learning program on your KSU application that you selected on the Guild application, or you may have to pay for the program on your own. Please also be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when completing the KSU application. Using different information may result in delays for your start at KSU.

Make sure to read the email completely to understand what is required for your application.

Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate:
Application packets are due 10 business day before the 1st day of the month the course begins
1. Completion of skills assessment with a score of 70 or higher
2. Completed CNA Program Application
3. This program is space-limited. Once the course is full, students will be placed on the waiting list.

Intensive English Program:
1. Completion of Intensive English Program Application and Policy Agreement Form. Guild students do not need to pay for the application fee.

4 — Get Your Books & Materials Ready

Get your books and other materials ready for your courses. Check the syllabus for each course to find out what you need, and be sure to keep your receipts. You will need to purchase your required texts and fill out a reimbursement request through Guild, providing a syllabus showing the required text(s) for your course and proof of purchase. 5 — Log into Your KSU Moodle Account

Your program coordinator will email you with information on setting your Moodle account. Upon receipt of this email, and no more than 3 days before the class start, you MUST log into Moodle and acknowledge the program policies. This will confirm your entry into the course. If you do not do this by 3 days before the class begins, you will be dropped from the class. Students enrolling less than 3 days before the class start are automatically enrolled.

6 — Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support

Once you've enrolled, you'll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at KSU.

7 — Complete Your Coursework at Kennesaw State University Community and Professional Education

Your Guild support network, along with your KSU support team, will be there to offer guidance and support throughout your program. Don't hesitate to reach out to Guild Support for help or KSU ksuprofessional@kennesaw.edu with any questions you may have!
