Get Accepted

Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild?  If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within 7 to 10 business days of submitting your Guild application.

If you have received your approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps to completing Purdue Global (PG):

1 — Be on the lookout for a call from PG

Within a few days of submitting your application with Guild, you will hear from an admissions officer from Purdue Global. This will usually be a phone call and may come from a 1-800 number or an unfamiliar area code. If you don’t hear from PG within a few days, feel free to call them at 1-877-491-0229.

2 — Apply to PG

You’ll have to complete a short application to apply to PG. It’s important that you connect with your PG admissions counselor to complete the process.

3 — Request transcripts

Transcripts are not required for admission to PG. However, if you’ve received college credits in the past and would like to transfer them to PG, please submit unofficial transcripts as part of your application. Official transcripts must be submitted prior to the end of your first term.

Transcripts are required for graduate programs. For the graduate degree enrollment process, students can submit unofficial Bachelor Degree Completion (BDC) transcripts that show the college name (title), cumulative GPA, and the date of conferment of the bachelor's program. However, they will need to have the official Bachelor's Degree Completion transcript (school to school) received by the Wednesday (1 week) before your term start date.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at PG.

  • A foreign credential evaluation of your transcripts may be required and, if applicable, must be sent directly to PG from the credential agency. Please review PG's policy for international transcripts:

  • An English proficiency exam with a minimum score may be required.

  • Confirm requirements with a PG Admissions Officer before paying out of pocket for an evaluation and/or exam.

  • If you need more help with the foreign credentials process, please review this article. You can also message Guild Support or call 1-800-985-4027 (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. MT).

7 - Communication with Purdue Global

You will receive regular notifications from Purdue Global regarding your account. Usually, these emails are not cause for concern. In rare instances, they can be an indicator that there may be an issue with your eligibility for your education benefit. The emails fall into 2 categories:

No cause for concern:

  • Monthly Billing Statements/Notification of Account Balance

  • Funding Offer

  • Funding Plan

Reach out to Guild support or Purdue Global Advisor:

  • Past Due Notifications/Debt Collection Letters

  • Notifications of ineligibility for Guild funding

If you receive an email that does not cause any concern, please review the email carefully to ensure everything looks correct.
