Congratulations!
Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within seven days of submitting your Guild application.
If you have received your Guild approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps for becoming a Guild student at SisuCare:
State Requirements
Only residents of California are eligible to enroll in SisuCare programs at this time.
Tech Requirements
SisuCare requires access to a desktop or laptop computer with a stable internet connection, a webcam, Google Chrome browser, and a personal email account to successfully participate in the program.
1 — Make Sure You're Eligible
Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Confirm Your Spot
Once your Guild application is approved, you'll need to confirm your spot in SisuCare's program for the next start date.
Log in to your Guild account and visit your Applications page to confirm your spot, then either SisuCare Care or Guild will reach out to you with the next steps.
Be sure to confirm your spot by the 29th day of the month before your start date, or February 27, if the start date is in March, or you will have to start in a later term.
If you don't confirm your spot by the 29th day, your start date will automatically update to the next start date available (up to 90 days out). You should be able to view your new start date and confirm your spot for the new start date within your Guild portal. If you don't confirm your spot for the updated start date, you will need to re-apply.
If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there aren't extra requirements to complete at SisuCare.
3 — Create Your SisuCare Student Account - DO NOT do this until your start date
On your start date, you'll receive an email from SisuCare with instructions and a unique referral code to enroll in their CNA training program. If you do not receive this email on your start date, make sure to check your spam folder and then reach out to SisuCare using admissions@sisucare.com. Remember: do not create an account or attempt to enroll before your start date, or your tuition might not be covered by your employer.
Please be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when creating your student account at SisuCare. Using different information may result in delays for your start at SisuCare. Also, please use the unique referral code provided in your start date email when you create your account. This tells SisuCare that you are a Guild student!
During account creation and enrollment, you’ll see SisuCare’s available in-person clinical options and will choose a clinical site and schedule that works for you. Remember: students are required to complete 120 in-person hours of combined lab and clinical practice as part of the CNA program. You can complete your in-person learning requirements in as little as 3 weeks or up to 2 months, depending on your chosen schedule and time commitment. These in-person lab and clinical requirements take place after the completion of all online coursework and modules. Please follow the emailed instructions carefully - all information you need to create an account and enroll is contained in this email. When selecting your clinical site and schedule, please be sure to closely follow the directions provided by SisuCare.
4 — Complete Your SisuCare Onboarding Documents
After you create your account and select your clinical site and schedule, you are ready to start your program! You will start your program the Monday after you create your account and complete enrollment. On that Monday, you will need to complete the requested onboarding documents in order to stay enrolled in your program at SisuCare. If you do not complete these documents by the end of your enrollment month, you will be automatically dropped from the program and prevented from continuing your training.
After completing the onboarding process, you can begin your SisuCare classes. The CNA program is in two parts: part one is online and part two is in-person. You will begin your training with the online part of the program. Once you complete the online part, you will then complete 120 hours of in-person clinical and lab training at your selected site on your selected schedule.
5 — Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support
Once you've completed your onboarding documents, you'll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at SisuCare.
6 — Complete Your Coursework at SisuCare
Your Guild support network, along with your SisuCare support team, will be there to offer guidance and support throughout your program. Don't hesitate to reach out to Guild Support for help or SisuCare with any questions you may have!
