If you have received your Guild approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps for becoming a Guild student at University of Cincinnati:
Tech Requirements
Students may be required to download software to complete coursework as part of this program and should have access to a personal computer in order to download and access the required software. This software may not be downloadable or accessible on an employer-issued computer.
University of Cincinnati requires a working computer with internet access for all programs in order to complete coursework. If you are applying for the BSN program, Mac OS is a critical part of the College of Nursing (CoN) technology ecosystem. Through the nursing program, learners will use a variety of apps such as AirPlay, Numbers, Pages, Keynote, iMovie, Photos, Examplify and iThoughts, and more.

Please make sure that you have the required tech necessary to successfully participate in the program.
1 — Make Sure You're Eligible
Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Submit Your University of Cincinnati Application
You will receive an email from University of Cincinnati with directions on how to apply for acceptance into your chosen program. Be sure to choose the same learning program on your University of Cincinnati application that you selected on the Guild application, or you may have to pay for the program on your own. Please also be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when completing the University of Cincinnati application. Using different information may result in delays for your start at University of Cincinnati.
Make sure to read the email completely to understand what is required for your application.
1. You may be required to write a statement of interest for your University of Cincinnati, so remember to get started on the application in advance of any deadlines.
2. In addition, you may be required to speak with an Admissions Counselor at University of Cincinnati.
3. You may also be required to provide references. Please follow the instructions provided by University of Cincinnati in your application process, and request letters of recommendation from professional or academic references who can best speak to your ability to be successful in this program.

3 — Start Your FAFSA
Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. Use the University of Cincinnati code 003125. Follow the detailed instructions provided by the Federal Student Aid office. When you're finished, you may be offered awards which you can accept or decline.

Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
4 — Send Your Transcripts to University of Cincinnati
If you have taken college classes before, University of Cincinnati will use your transcripts to complete your application and to possibly apply credits to your new program. You may also have to submit your most recent high school transcripts.
If you were able to submit a request for your college transcripts in your Guild Pre-Application, you should be good to go!
If you were not able to request transcripts in your Guild Pre-Application, contact any colleges you have attended and have them send your official transcripts directly to University of Cincinnati.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at University of Cincinnati.
· For the BSN program, a credit evaluation is required for transfer applicants. The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program requires an evaluation from WES. Please review University of Cincinnati's policy for international transcripts: https://admissions.uc.edu/information/international/requirements/transfer.html.
· Confirm requirements with University of Cincinnati's Admissions Department before paying out of pocket for an evaluation, translation, and/or exam.

Official transcripts must be sent through a service such as Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse.

Schedule a meeting with your University of Cincinnati academic advisor to get ready for starting your program. Your academic advisor is available to help you register for courses (if applicable), support you in your University of Cincinnati program, discuss course-related questions, and share resources available to you at University of Cincinnati.
5 — Complete Your University of Cincinnati Orientation Process
Make sure to take time to complete the University of Cincinnati orientation process to learn more details about your program, expectations, and keys to your academic success!
6 — Get Your Books & Materials Ready
Get your books and other materials ready for your courses. Check the syllabus for each course to find out what you need, and be sure to keep your receipts - you may need them for returns or reimbursements.
7 — Continue in Courses Beyond Add/Drop
Make sure you meaningfully engage in course content by the add/drop date in order to stay enrolled in your program at University of Cincinnati. Failure to do so may result in you being automatically dropped from the program or prevent you from continuing.
8 — Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support
Once you’ve past add/drop, you’ll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at University of Cincinnati.
