Tech Requirements
Students may be required to download software to complete coursework as part of this program and should have access to a personal computer in order to download and access the required software. This software may not be downloadable or accessible on an employer-issued computer.

1 — Make sure you’re eligible
Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of of your courses. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Submit Your Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org Application
Be sure to choose the same learning program on your Golden Gate University Degrees+ application that you selected on the Guild application, or you may have to pay for the program on your own. Please also be sure to use the same name, email address, and other personal information you used on your Guild application when completing the Golden Gate University Degrees+ application. Using different information may result in delays for your start at Golden Gate University Degrees+.

1. You may be required to write a statement of interest for your Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org, so remember to get started on the application in advance of any deadlines.
2. In addition, you may be required to speak with an Admissions Counselor at Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org.
3 — Start Your FAFSA
Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. The Federal School Code for Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org, is 001205. Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
4 — Send Your Transcripts to Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org
If you have taken college classes before, Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org will use your transcripts to complete your application and to possibly apply credits to your new program. You may also have to submit your most recent high school transcripts.

If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at Golden Gate University Degrees+.
A foreign credential evaluation of your transcripts is required and must be sent directly to Golden Gate University from the credential agency. Please review the policy for international transcripts here:
An English translation of non-English transcripts is required.

Once you receive a decision letter from Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org, follow the instructions provided and be sure to take the appropriate steps to confirm your acceptance via the myGGU applicant portal.
6 — Register for Courses
Upon Registration opening, you will be reminded via Lifecycle messaging to log-in and select your courses. Academic Advisors will review and approve course selections, and offer registration consults to all students.

8 — Get Your Books & Materials Ready
Get your books and other materials ready for your courses. Check the syllabus for each course to find out what you need, and be sure to keep your receipts - you may need them for returns or reimbursements.
9 — Engage with Your Coursework
Make sure you engage with your coursework before the third week of the term in order to stay enrolled in your program at Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org. Failure to do so may result in you being automatically dropped from the program or prevent you from continuing.
10 — Chat with Your Guild Growth Coach for Support
Once you’ve successfully engaged with your coursework before the third week of the term, you’ll have a chance to talk with your Guild Growth Coach. This is the time to discuss your education and career aspirations, ask questions, and set goals for completing your program at Golden Gate University Degrees+, powered by Outlier.org.
