Step 1: Get Accepted | Step 2: Get Registered
Step 1: Get Accepted
Congratulations on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email within 7-10 days of submitting your Guild application.
If you have received your approval email, double congratulations! Here are your next steps in completing the LSU Online application:
1 — Understand the Process
Make sure you understand what you’ll need to do to receive tuition assistance. Tuition assistance is the word we use to describe the portion of your tuition that’s covered by your employer. In other words, it’s the “benefit” that you receive when you enroll in a qualified program. If you have further questions, reach out to Guild support.
Check to make sure you're eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of classes. Go to the Guild home page and check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more information about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Connect with an LSU Online Enrollment Coach
Get connected with an LSU Online Enrollment Coach to get started on your application. Make sure you’re eligible to apply for the program and meet the minimum admission criteria prior to applying. An LSU Online enrollment coach will be able to assist you with questions you may have about admissions criteria.

Note: Be sure to use the same email address you used for the Guild application process.
Call them directly at 833-280-5634.
The LSU Enrollment Coaches will be reaching out to you within 1-3 business days from your Guild application approval. Look out for a phone call with a “225” area code.
3 — Complete the LSU Online application process
Complete LSU Online's application online through the links below.
It is very important that you -
Use the same email address you used for the Guild application
Be sure to use the exact same name that you used on your Guild application. For example, Use John Smith on both, not John. T. Smith on one and not the other.
Under "Who is your tuition benefits facilitator" select "Guild"
Apply to the same LSU program with the exact degree name that you applied to through Guild. Your approval by Guild to move forward in this program could become invalid if you apply to a different similarly named program, which would result in you becoming responsible for paying for your program out of pocket.
If you have any questions about program selection or want to confirm before submitting your application, please reach out to your Enrollment Coach using the contact information above.

You can use this code to waive LSU Online’s application fee: GEAUXTIGERS
Please note that you enter this code inside of the application, not after you complete it. If you have any questions, please contact your LSU Enrollment Coach.
4 — Start FAFSA
Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. The Federal School Code for LSU Online is 002010. Follow the detailed instructions provided by the Federal Student Aid office. When you're finished, you may be offered awards which you can accept or decline.
Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
5 — Request transcripts (Undergraduate)
Transfer Applicants: Transfer students are required to have 30 credits or more from a previously attended college and are required to have 2.5 GPA or higher.
Freshman Applicants: If you have not attended college, you may have to submit your most recent high school transcripts and are required to have a 3.0 Core GPA on the 19 units of college-preparatory high school courses as outlined in the LSU Core.
Transcripts are required from any school you attended after high school. This includes: transfer credits, study abroad, and any courses taken at another institution that appear on your transcript. Contact all of the schools you have attended and have them send your official transcripts directly to LSU Online’s admissions office. You may also use Parchment to send your transcripts and provide a screenshot of the confirmation page to the admissions office for tracking.
If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at LSU.
LSU completes foreign credential evaluations in-house. Official transcripts must be sent from the previous school directly to LSU for an internal evaluation.
If you choose to have a credential evaluation completed by a NACES member agency, you may receive an admissions decision sooner.
An English translation of non-English transcripts is required. Both the original transcript (in the original language) and a certified English translation of the transcript must be sent to LSU.
An English proficiency exam with a minimum score is required.
Confirm requirements with LSU's Admissions Department before paying out of pocket for an evaluation, translation, and/or exam.
If you need more help with the foreign credentials process, please review this article and/or contact Guild Support or call 1-800-985-4027 (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. MT).
Applicants are strongly encouraged to email their transcripts (or Parchment confirmation screenshot) to admissions@lsu.edu, as it may take 1-2 months for paper transcripts to be received. If you wish to send physical copies of relevant documents please address them to:
LSU Office of Enrollment Management
1146 Pleasant Hall
Baton Rouge, LA 70803
You may be able to bypass the test score requirement through the 25 plus policy or through the test optional policy.
6 — Request transcripts (Graduate)
Graduate applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited US institution or the equivalent from a foreign institution, as well as a 3.0 Minimum GPA overall or on the last 60 credit hours of the previously attended institution for regular admission. Applicants must also gain acceptance by the graduate faculty in the applicant’s area of study.
