Step 1: Get Accepted | Step 2: Get Set Up | Step 3: Get Started
Get Prepared
Congrats on taking the first steps towards your education goals. Have you received your approval email from Guild? If not, don’t worry, you should receive an email about 7-10 days after submitting your Guild application.
If you've already received your approval email, you can follow these steps to complete your Oregon State University application:
1 — Make sure you’re eligible
Check to make sure you are eligible for your company's education benefit, right up to the first day of classes. Go to the Guild home page, then check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. For more details about eligibility, contact Guild support.
2 — Complete the Oregon State University application process
Undergraduate students: You'll receive an email from Oregon State University with your personal application link and login information within 3 days of your Guild application approval. Activate your account using the login information and PIN provided in that email to complete your OSU application. Use the same email you used for the Guild application. Be sure to select the same academic program that you selected on your Guild application to ensure funding eligibility.
Graduate students: You’ll receive an email from Oregon State University with login information. Activate your account with the password provided in that email. Use the same email you used for the Guild application.
Master of Public Health students only: If you are applying for the Master of Public Health program there are two application fees, one for SOPHAS and another to OSU. Complete the SOPHAS application on the SOPHAS website and pay the application fee listed on the website. Then there is an additional OSU Supplemental Application fee: $75 for domestic students and $85 for international students. After completing the SOPHAS application you will receive a link to OSU's supplemental application via email, which you will need to complete.
3 — Submit the FAFSA
Gather important documents and complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The Federal School Code for OSU is 003210.
If you have questions, you can contact OSU’s Office of Financial Aid at Financial.Aid@oregonstate.ed or at 541-737-2241.
Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
4 — Request transcripts
Undergraduate students only:
OSU requires a transcript from each college you have attended in order to determine admissions eligibility and to award earned credit. If you have fewer than 24 college credits, or if you have not attended college, you will need to submit your final high school transcripts.
Upload your unofficial transcripts at the time you apply. Then, arrange for each of your prior schools to send official transcripts to OSU before you enroll in courses. Contact any colleges you have attended and have them send your official transcripts directly to OSU.
Keep in mind – it may take 1-2 months for transcripts to arrive at OSU, so order them as soon as possible.
If your previous schools offer e-transcripts, they must be sent to osuadmit@oregonstate.edu through a third-party service such as Naviance, Docufide, Parchment, Transcript Network, or eScrip-Safe.
Paper transcripts can be mailed to:
Oregon State University
Office of Admissions
104 Kerr Administration Building
Corvallis, OR 97331
Graduate students only:
Upload academic records for each institution you've attended:
Provide records from every institution you attended.
Include the front and back of each record if there is information on both sides.
If the institution is outside the U.S., include the original version and a certified English translation.
Include certificates or diplomas for all degrees you've earned.
You are required to provide transcripts whether you earned your credential in the U.S. or abroad. OSU Graduate Admissions will work with students on a one-by-one basis.
Then, arrange for each of your prior schools to send official transcripts directly to OSU. You won't be able to register until the Graduate School receives your transcripts. When you order your transcript, select Oregon State University - Graduate Admissions as the recipient.
Keep in mind - it may take 1-2 months for transcripts to arrive at OSU, so order them as soon as possible. Paper transcripts may take longer.
Paper transcripts can be mailed to:
Graduate School
Oregon State University
Heckart Lodge
2900 SW Jefferson Way
Corvallis, Oregon 97331-1102
Both undergraduate and graduate students:
If you have previous education outside of the U.S. (i.e., foreign credentials), there are extra requirements to complete to enroll at OSU.
OSU completes foreign credential evaluations in-house. Official transcripts must be sent from the previous school directly to OSU for an internal evaluation.
An English translation of non-English transcripts is required. Both the original transcript (in the original language) and a certified English translation of the transcript must be sent to OSU.
An English proficiency exam with a minimum score may be required. Please review OSU’s policy for English language proficiency here:
Confirm requirements with OSU's Office of Admissions before paying out of pocket for a translation and/or exam.
If you need more help with the foreign credentials process, please review this article. You can also message Guild Support or call 1-800-985-4027 (Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. MT).
