Step 2 : Get Registered
1 —Check eligibility
Before you start the formal registration process, make sure you’re still eligible for your company’s education benefits. To do this, sign into your Guild account, then check your eligibility status in the upper right-hand corner. Contact Guild support to learn more about what eligibility means at your company.
2 — Schedule your first-time appointment
Once you have been admitted, your academic advisor at UMass Global will reach out to schedule your first-time appointment complete your education plan. After that, you will need to complete the Financial Responsibility Agreement and register for courses. If you’re unsure who your Academic Advisor is or is having trouble getting in touch with your assigned advisor, reach out to acadadvisorOL@umassglobal.edu.
3 — Register for classes
Once you’ve met with a University of Massachusetts Global advisor, set up some time with the University of Massachusetts Global One Stop office to register for classes. Your academic advisor will most likely help you schedule this appointment during your first-time appointment, but if you need to schedule or reschedule, contact One Stop directly at 800-775-0056 or email them at onestopol@umassglobal.edu.
4 — Finalize FAFSA
Then, you’ll need to finalize your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Make sure your financial aid application has the University of Massachusetts Global code, 041618. If you have any questions, please ask your One Stop Specialist during your registration appointment.

Per the Employer policy, each student enrolling in a program that is eligible for federal financial aid may be required to complete one or more of the following items before initial program enrollment and annually thereafter: FAFSA, financial aid packaging / awarding process, accept any grant aid awarded. If any grants are accepted they will be applied to tuition and mandatory fees before employer payment. If you have questions regarding your Employer education benefit policy, please consult Guild support. If you have questions about financial aid, please contact your learning provider's financial aid office.
5 — Buy books and materials
Lastly, you’ll need to buy required books and other materials. Also, consider making additional investments in whatever you need to succeed. To see which books are required, check your syllabus for each course.
