Step 3: Get Started

Here are some helpful tips to set yourself up!

1 — Watch University of Massachusetts Global’s orientation

Sign up for University of Massachusetts Global’ mandatory orientation. You’ll learn everything you need to know to be prepared for day one. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other students and faculty.

2 — Flag your first day

Mark the first day of classes on your calendar so you’re not caught off guard. You can find this date on University of Massachusetts Global’s academic calendar. If you’re in the University of Massachusetts Global MyPath program, you don’t have an official start date. However, you’ll still want to consider how you’d like to schedule your time to complete your units.

3 — Sign in to your classes

Make sure to sign in to your classes and get started right away. If you don’t sign in within the first two weeks, you’ll be automatically dropped.

4 — Add/drop classes

If you need to adjust your class schedule, you can add or drop classes in your University of Massachusetts Global portal, up until the specified add/drop deadline. If you’re in the University of Massachusetts Global MyPath program, you can’t drop classes once you start, so make sure you begin with a manageable workload.
